Character History:

Tucker McCall entered Genoa City as the business tycoon who was set out to destroy Katherine Chancellor. Unknown to everyone, Tucker was the long-lost son of Katherine.

When Tucker first came to town, he pretended to be Katherine’s friend and wanted to work with her. He had met Jill Fenmore days before while she was on a business trip. Jill thought that Tucker was a bartender and slept with him. When he showed up a few days later in a business meeting at Chancellor Industries, Jill was shocked. She forgave him for being secretive and continued in a relationship with him. Shortly after, Tucker was suspected to be Katherine’s son, and a DNA test later proved it. Tucker next broke up with Jill and tricked Katherine into selling a large portion of her company to him. Katherine was devastated.

Tucker was now in control of Chancellor Industries and planned to destroy it. He began selling the other companies under Chancellor’s control, such as Jabot Cosmetics. With both Victor Newman and Jack Abbott wanting Jabot, Tucker agreed to hold a bidding contest in which the highest bidder would win the company. With help from his son, Adam, Victor was able to find out what Jack had bid and outbid him to win the company. Jack was furious and immediately suspected foul play on Victor’s part.

Around this time, Tucker’s “right hand” personal assistant, Sofia Dupre, came to town. She immediately butted heads with Neil Winters…only to be revealed that she was engaged to Neil’s brother, Malcolm. With Neil as the new CEO of Chancellor Industries, Neil and Sofia were forced to work together and eventually began to get along and became friends.

When Tucker discovered that Katherine had an opportunity to expose some of his secrets and get control of Chancellor Industries back, and declined on doing so, Tucker started to look at his mother in a different light and attempted to get along with her. The two slowly began a loving mother/son relationship. Katherine even convinced him into selling her 51% of the company, making her back in charge of Chancellor.

Tucker began dating Ashley Abbott, after he made her CEO of Jabot. They began dating after having slept together while on a business trip. Ashley broke up with her current boyfriend at the time, Neil Winters, and started a new life with Tucker.

When he found out that Victoria Newman was suing her father for Beauty of Nature, Tucker began talking to her to arrange a business agreement. Tucker proposed that if Victoria won Beauty of Nature, he would merge it with Jabot and make her CEO of the company.

Tucker hired Diane Jenkins in late 2010 and took her to his place to work out all of the final details. During a horrible storm, they ended up making love in his bed. Ashley’s daughter, Abby, came to Tucker’s door and found him with Diane. Tucker denied that anything had happened but Abby wasn’t buying it. Abby continued to try to prove to her mother that Tucker was no good and had cheated on her. She constantly was trying to break them up.

When Tucker proposed to Ashley, they began planning the perfect wedding. Abby got drunk the night before and trashed the site of where their wedding was going to be. She was arrested for vandalism, but was released thanks to Tucker. Still determined to break them up, Abby used Diane Jenkin’s phone to text Tucker to make him think she wanted to meet up. She also used Tucker’s phone to text Diane to get her to meet him. A drunk Abby tried driving her mother to the meeting place where she was certain Tucker would be with Diane. However, Abby lost control of the wheel and accidentally struck Tucker with her car, putting him in a coma. Ashley took the blame and was arrested after Diane told the police that she saw the car speed up and purposely hit Tucker.

Victor convinced Diane to recant her story, and Ashley was released from prison. As soon as she was out, Ashley ran to Tucker’s bedside and he woke up! Tucker thought that he and Ashley should marry right then and there. They married in the hospital in front of nurses who served at witnesses. Katherine walked in at the very end. Tucker was furious to learn that while gone, Katherine had taken over his company and did everything against his wishes.

Dealing with the guilt, Abby went to Tucker and confessed that she was the one who hit him, not Ashley. Tucker told her that he already knew, and wanted to see how long it took before she admitted it. Abby wanted Tucker to be truthful to her about Diane, since she had just been truthful to him. Tucker still denied having an affair with her, and Abby walked out.

While he was in a coma, Katherine and Ashley found out that Tucker had fathered a child many years ago, but hadn’t been in contact with the boy. Once awake from his coma, Ashley confronted Tucker on why he never told anyone about his son.
